The recent graduates Mentorship Program is designed to foster the development of excellence in the next generation of practitioners with advanced education and mentoring. It aims to support recently graduated therapists in their quest to become exceptional manual therapy practitioners. The program supplements formal coursework with additional lectures and (in the case of resident participants) mentoring support. The program is split into 10, two hour lectures spaced over a two year period covering topics as varied as goal setting, marketing, communication skills, assessment, exercise prescription, nutrition and styles of practice.

The program is offered in a resident and non-resident format. Residents participants can apply to be one of eight applicants selected to physically attend the lectures and be offered one to one mentoring. Non-residents participants have access to pdf copies of  lecture notes and it’s video recording and be invited to ask questions via a group forum. All applicants must also satisfy the eligibility criteria (see here for full details). The cost of the program will be offset by an equivalent discount on the Assessment & Treatment Intro course essentially making it a free program for those undertaking the Intro course. Applications for Resident participants close on February 24th, 2020 and applications for Non-Resident participants close on July 1st, 2020. I couldn’t recommend this mentorship program more strongly!

The guidance that Haydn and James provide and the insights to helpful tips to keep your practise fresh while you continue to develop is priceless. The regular meet ups provide something to look forward to each few months and I left every single one feeling more motivated and excited to try new techniques/exercises/subjective questions each time.

I would recommend this program to any health professionals looking to grow and explore in the early stages of their career and grow a network of like minded therapists.
