By using this website to register for a course or purchase a product, the registrant is agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as outlined below.

Course Registration

All our prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and include goods and services tax (GST) of 10%. We are not responsible for any variations in currency conversion due to your international credit card provider applying different rates. When registering for a course, a place will only be secured when full payment is received. For registrants choosing to pay by direct deposit, if  payment is not received within 7 days of the date of the registration, the rate of the course fee may change or the held place may be forfeited.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

If a registrant purchases a fully online course, no refund is possible as they will gain automatic access to the online content. If a registrant purchases an in-person course and cancels their registration more than 30 days prior to the course start date, they are entitled to a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. If a registrant cancels their in-person course registration between 30 days and 14 days prior to the start date, they are entitled to a 50% refund of the fee paid. If a registrant cancels their their in-person course registration less than 14 days prior to the course start date, their payment is forfeited. MTI may at their discretion may choose to offer a discount coupon up to the value of the registrants payment for use on a future course. All cancellations must be received by email by using the web form here.

MTI reserves the right to cancel any course, in which case all money already paid will be refunded in full or a discount coupon of equivalent value will be offered instead. MTI will not be held responsible for any additional payment made to third parties such as travel or accommodation providers.

Security

MTI takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of our system. We have put in place appropriate physical and electronic procedures to prevent unauthorised access to any information which we stored for you on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. Payment information sent from forms on this website will be collected and transferred using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to a third party payment gateway (Stripe). Credit Card details are only collected for the processing of payment and will be deleted once payment is processed. MTI however will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access of your personal information.

Consent To Participate In Manual Therapy Training.

Participation in interactive skills development involves experience, observation and feedback and is essential to ongoing professional development. Characteristically these skills should be introduced and then developed through practice on peers (colleagues) prior to application in a clinical context. Whenever a procedure is demonstrated the lecturer will demonstrate using safe practices and you will be given time to ask questions before commencing practice.

You are encouraged to act as a model for the teaching and learning processes involved in the acquisition of therapy skills. However you are under no obligation to agree to be a model and your refusal is in no way a barrier to your continued eligibility to participate. Manual therapy procedures may involve palpation in personally sensitive areas. If you feel uncomfortable with any procedure, it is your right and responsibility to ask the practitioner to stop.

Throughout the course you are responsible for your own health and safety and it is very important that you understand this. If you have any medical problem that might be made worse or otherwise prevent you from agreeing to act as a model or undertake any of the demonstrated skills, it is your responsibility to inform the lecturer.

I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the practitioner should I experience any untoward symptoms during a procedure. I acknowledge that it is the responsibility of the practitioner to stop the procedure immediately should I indicate such symptoms or request that it should be stopped.

During the training, participants will be taught a wide variety of techniques and it remains the responsibility of each participant to determine which techniques fall within their own scope of practice.
